Known as “the island of spice”, couples can be assured that choosing the island of Grenada as the venue for their wedding or honeymoon is bound to spice up their special occasion. As an island dedicated to preserving its natural beauty, the unspoilt landscape provides a stunning and romantic scene for your special day.

Our wedding co-ordinator on the island can arrange for your ceremony to be held with the backdrop of a tropical forest or a cascading waterfall if you are looking for a more relaxed and scenic setting for a small intimate ceremony. However, for a more traditional setting, what about marrying in one of the island´s historical churches? This can then be followed by a reception held in one of the island´s local restaurants or hotels who can lay on a typical “Grenadian” spread. However, each hotel on the island also offers its own wedding package for couples staying with them. Many of these hotels are intimate and deluxe resorts where no more than one wedding will take place each or even each week, and couples will be made to feel special as every attention to detail is paid to their important day.

Visitors must be resident on the island for 3 working days before they can apply for a wedding licence, this excludes weekends, and public holidays. It then takes a further 2 days for the marriage licence to be granted by the Prime Minister´s office – slightly longer if either partner has been divorced. Therefore we recommend that couples plan their wedding day for no earlier than 5 days after their arrival on the island, taking weekends and holidays into account.
