Voted Best Caribbean Wedding Destination for 2006, Antigua is an idyllic island for couples who wish to enjoy all the benefits of marrying in a truly tropical location. Culsen Travel are one of only a handful of agents in the UK accredited as Antigua wedding and honeymoon specialists by the Antigua Tourist Board, so you can be confident in leaving your wedding planning on this beautiful island to us.

We can arrange for you to marry on one of the island's 365 beaches, or in one of its historical locations overlooking picturesque English Harbour, or at one of the island's many churches or hotel resorts.

Antigua Weddings - Legal Requirements
Minimum Residency Period (in working days ) 0
Passports
Original Copy Birth Certificates
Legal Proof if name changed by Deed Poll
Decree Absolute if Divorced previously
Affidavit to declare Marital Status - must be stamped by Notary if not married previously
Death Certificate of spouse & previous Marriage Certificate if widow or widower

There is no requirement for any period of residency on the island prior to your wedding day, although you will need to leave sufficient time for your licence to be obtained from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, which is closed at weekends and on public holidays. We therefore recommend that you allow 2 days to ensure that your wedding co-ordinator has sufficient time to formulate the necessary documentation and to accompany you to the Ministry to process your wedding licence application. A church wedding will take longer and require additional documentation. Culsen Travel will advise on additional details required for couples wishing to marry in church on request. The minimal costs to cover a licence and marriage officer and legal fees is just $240US (approx £130).

One of our recommendations for a resort wedding is to stay at Jolly Beach Resort. This resort offers a choice of two lovely wedding gazebos where your ceremony can take place - one at the centre of the resort overlooking the fantasy pool, and a smaller one located beside the beach in a more secluded and intimate location. There is also a choice of reception options, whether you prefer a small intimate dinner party in one of the resort's specialist restaurants, or a private reception party beside the beach or in one of the special function rooms. The wedding co-ordinator, Beverley has many years of experience and personally takes care of ensuring all the arrangements for your big day are taken care of. As one of the island's most popular all inclusive resorts it is also the ideal location for your friends and family who may be travelling with you to enjoy a wonderful holiday. You can see our special wedding offers below for more details on what the Jolly Beach Resort wedding package includes. Wedding parties booking 6 rooms or more for the bride & groom and their guests can receive a FREE wedding. For a more tailor-made wedding to suit your needs you can contact us and we will supply you with additional information on options and costs.

The Inn at English Harbour is the perfect location for a more intimate wedding with a stunning view. Your ceremony can take place on the beach where the hotel will set up a gazebo canopy to seat your guests, where they can watch you arrive in style from around the bay.Your reception will take place up on the hillside on the stone patio terrace of the historical main house looking out over the harbour, where your specially selected menu will be served. Your guests can choose to stay in one of the hotel's beautifully designed rooms or in one of the private villas up on the hillside at Galleon Beach just around the bay, either Babylon, Lime Hill, Sirius or Countess.  The basic wedding package for couples marrying at The Inn at English Harbour is £450, but couples booking a minimum 28 nights stay between themselves and their guests will receive a FREE wedding.
